Tim Uren argues that each improvisational theater scene functions as a game that generates its own rules within a few seconds of its inception, rules based on each performer’s observation of the audience and/or other actors.

Tim Uren is a Twin Cities actor and comedian. As part of the Minnesota Fringe Festival he wrote and appeared in two solo shows, 10,000 Comic Books and Michigan Disasters. Additionally, he studies, performs, and teaches improvisational theater, having worked with the Brave New Workshop, Stevie Ray's, and the Scrimshaw Brothers' Look Ma, No Pants, among others. He can also be seen performing 300 Comic Books, a solo-improv structure of his own creation.
