tobias c. van Veen is a doctoral candidate in Philosophy & Communication Studies at McGill University and a practitioner of the technology arts. He writes on the technics of philosophy, wordbots in Derrida and machines in Deleuze, technoculture, & AfroFuturism. He is contributing editor at FUSE & e/i magazine and Concept Engineer at the Society for Arts and Technology (SAT), where he curates Upgrade Montréal. Since 1993 he has exhibited and released work in sound, radio & net-art and performs with laptop and turntables.
